What's inside the workbook

SheetWhat it does
InstructionsOne-page how-to: set up once, then per-period data entry only.
SetupCompany info, employee master (name, position, hourly rate, schedule), editable day-type multipliers, night-diff rate, grace period.
DTR-01 … DTR-05One semi-monthly time record per employee — enter day type, time in/out, and break; hours, OT, late minutes, and night-diff hours compute per day, even across midnight.
Payroll SummaryAuto-consolidates all five DTRs: regular hours, OT, night-diff hours, tardiness, and pay per employee, with period totals.

Version 1.0 · estimates only — the multipliers default to the DOLE Handbook figures but statutory deductions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR) are not in the workbook; use the SSS and PhilHealth calculators for those, and verify everything against current issuances before a live payroll run.

FAQ

Common questions.

Eight sheets: an Instructions tab, a Setup tab (company details, an employee master with rates and schedules, and editable day-type multipliers), five semi-monthly DTR sheets — one per employee, driven by formulas that pull each person's rate and schedule from Setup — and a Payroll Summary that consolidates regular hours, overtime, night-differential hours, and tardiness across all five automatically.

Yes. The time math is overnight-safe (a 10:00 PM in / 6:00 AM out computes 8 hours, not −16), and hours falling in the 10 PM–6 AM window are counted for the 10% night differential automatically — the typical guard-post shift works out of the box.

Yes. Download the .xlsx and upload it to Google Drive — Google Sheets opens it with the formulas intact (File → Import, or drag it into Drive and open). It also works in Excel 2016+ and LibreOffice Calc.

Completely free — no card, no trial. We ask who's downloading (agency, position, size) so we know who we're building for and can send the occasional Philippine payroll update; you can opt out anytime, and we handle your details per the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173).

It covers 5 employees per file (copy the workbook for more), computes hours and premiums but not SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG/BIR deductions or client billing, and someone still has to type every time entry. That manual encoding is exactly what NexusWorkforce removes — geofenced mobile clock-ins feed payroll and D.O. 174 client billing directly.

Yes — the Setup tab exposes the day-type multipliers (regular holiday 200%, special day 130%, rest-day combinations), the night-differential rate, standard hours, and a grace period, all editable. The defaults follow the DOLE Handbook figures; verify against current issuances before a live run.

When the workbook stops scaling, the system starts.

Five employees per file, manual time entry, no statutory or client billing — that's the ceiling of Excel. NexusWorkforce captures DTR at the post with geofenced mobile clock-ins and runs payroll, SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG/BIR, and D.O. 174 client billing from the same record.
