The situation.

Jolo BBQ operates two adjacent stalls in a Davao City food court, running three cashiers across two daily shifts. Owner Joel Lim had a persistent problem: every week, his cash count came up ₱200 to ₱800 short against his handwritten sales tally. The handwritten log was the only record — and it was easy to leave entries out in real time without anyone noticing. Joel suspected something was wrong but had no way to prove it. He couldn't tell whether the issue was errors, theft, or GCash payments that weren't being recorded. Without per-cashier data and a clean audit trail, he had nothing to act on.

What changed.

1. 1All transactions now ring through NexusSales on two tablets. Each cashier logs in under their own account — every transaction is tied to a specific cashier, session, and timestamp.
2. 2In the first week, the shift reconciliation report showed a ₱1,800 variance between registered sales and cash collected — broken down by cashier, by shift, and by payment method.
3. 3Joel identified the pattern: unrecorded transactions were consistently appearing on one specific cashier's session at the end of shift.
4. 4NexusPay's digital payment auto-reconciliation also surfaced ₱340 in GCash payments that had never been entered in the prior manual system.
5. 5The investigation was resolved internally — the cashier resigned. Cash variance has been under ₱50 per week since deployment.

The modules in practice.

NexusSales enforces per-cashier session tracking — no transaction can be processed without a logged-in account.
